Brian Jackson was a founder of Jackson & Carter after 20 years as a partner at Davis Fuller Jackson & Keene f//k/a Davis and Davis. Brian specializes in healthcare law, defending healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and advising hospitals and hospital boards on key legal issues. Brian graduated from Abilene Christian University and received his law degree in 1990 from the University of Houston.

Brian has represented clients in more than 100 Texas counties involving brain-damaged children, physically disabled patients, wrongful deaths, consumer and property owner disputes and breaches of contract. He is most well-known for representing Nocona General Hospital in 19 separate lawsuits filed as a result of a nurse allegedly murdering 22 patients over a six- week period.

In addition to his busy trial schedule, Brian is a frequent speaker at lectures and seminars on legal issues facing hospitals and hospital districts. The State Bar of Texas has honored Brian by selecting him as a speaker at its Advanced Medical Malpractice Conference for seven of the last eleven years (2002-2006, 2009, 2011).

Brian also is active in his community and serves on the boards of several non-profit groups, such as Brentwood Christian School, Helping Autism through Learning and Outreach (HALO) and Kidfish. He lives in Austin with his wife, Kristi, and three young children.
